Born and raised in Powell, WY, I grew up in a very big and active family. I grew up trying to follow my older brothers footsteps in sports; soccer, track, basketball, but found my own passion for tennis and running when I started high school. I have always loved being active and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. I obtained my personal training certificate in 2012 and worked in that industry until the birth of my 3rd son.
I met my husband at BYU-Idaho and was married in 2006. We have since welcomed 3 very active boys into our home. My husband’s schooling and work has taken us all over the United States and now the world. We moved to Korea in January 2015 and have really enjoyed our time here.
I found Crossfit while my husband was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. I was living in my hometown in Wyoming with my two boys, and my mom encouraged me to attend the local box there. I quickly fell in love with the sport and found it to be a great outlet for me during a very difficult time in my life. When my husband returned, we moved to Maryland, and I built up my own box at home. I was very excited to learn that there was a very active and thriving box in Korea when we moved here. It is so much more fun to workout surrounded by other people! This box and the many people who have come and gone have been my saving grace during our time in Korea.
I love the confidence and strength that Crossfit has given me. I have witnessed many members, especially women, transform their lives through Crossfit. I truly believe that we are capable of so much more than we think, and I can’t wait to help other members realize that for themselves.
