170328 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Athletes,

You did it! The 2017 CrossFit Open is over. You completed 5 weeks of pure physical and mental toughness.  And everyone is better for it.  We have seen a number of PRs happen over these past 5 weeks.  Athletes getting double unders or larger sets of double unders, chest-to-bars, toes-to-bars, muscle-ups, or hitting big numbers on snatches.  I wish I could name all the PRs that happened, but this post would then just get too long! This is what the Open is all about.  Pushing the boundaries and truly finding where your boundaries lies.  You all have worked so hard over the past year, and it shows.  So a big pat on the back for all the hours you have put into the gym and sacrifices you have made to be the amazing athlete you are today.

A huge shout out also needs to go out to our Fight Tonight CrossFit coaches.  The amount of dedication they put into Fight Tonight CrossFit is beyond what anyone could ask for.  These individuals provide you with some of the best content and drills to help you all reach your goals and push you just enough to see your potential.  With the hard work you put into the gym along with the education our coaches provide, it goes to show that our box and our community is one of the strongest out there.  And we are a ton of fun!

The Open is generally a way to determine your fitness over the past year of training. In other words, the 2016-2o17 season is over and it is time to kick off the 2017-2018 season.  Its time to get back to work and start training for the 2018 CrossFit Open.

So we have an announcement! Beth will be taking over Fight Tonight CrossFit as the affiliate manager come Saturday, April 1, 2017! Beth has been a very dedicated coach to Fight Tonight CrossFit.  With her strong fitness background, knowledge in programming, and overall bad-ass-ery, she is ready to take Fight Tonight CrossFit to the next level.

I have learned so much over this past year as your affiliate manager and am so grateful to have had this experience.  The amount of personal growth is almost indescribable and I have to thank all of the coaches (past and present) along with the athletes (past and present) for believing in me and trusting me to help get you all to where you are today.  But you can’t get rid of me that easily, I’ll still be coaching and pushing you all to your limits while I’m still here 🙂  So again, thank you all for putting your trust in me and providing me with the opportunity.
