Today we say “see ya later” to another FTCF superstar, Emerald. She is one of our cardio bunnies, always signing up for the upcoming race and completely crushing it every time. Because of her running loving craziness, we added that into todays WOD.
One thing I love about Emerald is that she is always looking for improvement and her willingness to learn. She comes into each and every workout looking to improve her form or her efficiency in a movement and really absorbs the coaches cues. And if she doesn’t understand, she asks. Us coaches love that. When I asked her what movements she liked or doesn’t like in order to make her going away WOD special she responded with “I am not going to say no to any of the movements because I started this to make myself do things I normally would not on my own.” Um, if that isn’t inspiring and motivational, then I don’t know what is!
While here with us at FTCF, she put her hard work in the gym into her first competition (the 6th annual GirlFit competition) where she competed both on a team and as an individual. And oh my god she did so well!
We are surly going to miss your positive attitude at each class, but we wish you the best of luck in Italy! Keep up the great work Emerald!
