160514 Nora’s Going Away WOD


Today is Nora’s Going Away WOD :(. Nora (aka Elastigirl) will be attending George Mason University in the Fall and will be continuing to share her gymnastics skills with the world by taking on a job as an assistant coach.  I’ve only been coaching for a little less than year and during that time, I have seen Nora sky rocket as a competitive athlete.  She is a force to be reckoned with! Not only is Nora a mentally tough and strong athlete, she is also so helpful in classes when it comes to any gymnastics movement.  She is always willing to take the time to help others that are struggling.  Nora, we are going to miss you! Keep crushing it in CrossFit and we wish you nothing but the best in college.

REMEMBER! Following the WOD, Melissa and Nora will be hosting a handstand clinic.  In order to improve on your handstands, you need to understand the basics.  These ladies will provide you with plenty of skills and drills to help you become comfortable with being upside-down.  So come on out around 11am or stay after the WOD 🙂

In teams of two:
1 partner HS walk/wheelbarrow to rig (other partner as spotter/holding feet)
20 C2B (10 each)
20 shared WBS over the rig/bar (20/14)
20 synchronized Burpees
20 shared WBS over the rig/bar (20/14)
20 T2B (10 each)
1 partner HS walk/wheelbarrow to other end of PITT (other partner as spotter/holding feed)
