Are you wearing a running shoe when you walk across that border into the box? Why? I am not telling you to go out and drop 160 bucks on customized Nano 4s but what I do need for you to have is a hard sole. Your New Balance 959s do not cut the cake here. For those reading this you have probably gone through a couple iterations of Nanos or the like. There are a bunch of different ways to get a solid shoe.

There are a bunch of ways to get really cheap Nanos from 50$ up to 160 for customized like the ones Dan and I have.

Don’t like the Nano that is fine. INOV-8s, Merrells, New Balance all make good shoes but you need to have a solid heel, that is not elastic on the sides. I would take caution on the barefoot style or the 5 finger style shoes. The last thing I want is a broken toe or bruised heel because you landed wrong. With that being said if you know you can handle yourself in this style go crazy.
