151114 Can you be more today?

Athletes,

Can we be more today? I can see inside many of you that will and drive to do anything put in front of you. Others will see this WOD and say…ehhhh. It is a stage that we all go through.

When I did my first Open in 2013 I said ‘f-it’ to the 150 Wallball, 30 Double Unders and Muscle up workout. I just knew how much suck those wallballs would of been. I was weak in mind and didn’t want to muster the courage to get through them. That day has far passed and now I would do 150 wallballs for warmup if it was programmed.

That is the difference between the mere mortal and what you have come to be. Regardless of body composition and strength…when you confront a workout and say, “I got you.” You become more and you know this.

U.S. Air Force Security Forces 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton, 24, of Monroe, Ga., assigned to the 6th Security Forces Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., was killed September 8th, 2009, while on a mission near Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Helton is survived by his mother, Jiffy Helton.
