121110 Saturday 1000, Marine Corps 237th Birthday Tribute!

Today we celebrate the founding of the United States Marine Corps. Organized to bridge the gap between land forces and naval forces, the Marines have taken the fight to our Nation’s enemies since 1775. From Tripoli to Tarawa, Beriut to Afghanistan, Marines are overworked, underpaid, but are always over THERE. Right now there’s a 19 year old rifleman out there somewhere who hasn’t spoken to his family or friends in three months, had a shower in three weeks, or hot food in three days, defending our freedom for low pay and no recognition. All he wants is 8 hours sleep and dry socks, but deserves so much more than that. He deserves our thanks and support. Semper Fi, thank God for the Marines
